‘Simply a low cost alternative to traditional funeral arrangements’
William Houghton’s newest premises which aims to encourage choice and flexibility. A welcoming and relaxed atmosphere which is tastefully decorated and has ample parking.
Traditional funeral services are offered alongside ‘simply funeral’ options.
Approximately 30 guests can attend a funeral in our own chapel, an alternative to more traditional services at the Church or crematorium.

- Collection from local hospital/mortuary during normal working hours.
- Out of hours or private residence collection is an additional £150.
- Personal care of your loved one at our local premises until the day of the Funeral
- Oak veneered coffin for cremation
- Collection of Ashes from the Crematorium
- Cremation Certificate
- All Associated Crematorium Fees and Charges (at Preston)
- You will also be informed of the date and time the cremation will take place.
There is no attendance of family or friends inside the Crematorium Chapel, you may witness arrival and be given the chance to pay your respects.

Simply Cremation
What’s included
- A simple cremation for those who want an affordable and respectful service without any fuss.
- Includes the funeral director and their staff to attend to all necessary arrangements.
- Includes transfer of your loved one from a local place of residence or hospital during normal office hours. Out of hours charged at £150.
- The provision of a simple oak effect coffin suitable for cremation.
- Provision of a traditional black hearse to the crematorium.
- The date, time and location of the cremation will be at the discretion of the funeral director.
- Cremated remains will be available for collection with a cremation certificate.
- Visiting deceased within normal office hours

- The transfer of the your loved one from a local place of residence or hospital during normal office hours.
- The provision of a simple oak effect coffin.
- The provision of a gown or dressing in own clothing and the visiting of the your loved one during normal office hours.
- Funeral service carried out in our own private chapel at a time and date convenient for the family.
- Cremation will take place after the service at Preston Crematorium. The family would be welcome to attend the cremation and pay their respects but would not be admitted in to the chapel.
- Preparation of music and donations.
- The provision of a traditional black hearse and necessary staff for cremation.

- Provision of a superior coffin suitable for burial or cremation complete with all furniture, fittings and lining.
- The provision of a gown or dressing in own clothing and the visiting of your loved one at the client’s convenience.
- Date and time of the funeral to be arranged at the client’s convenience.
- Hearse and Limousine to the place of worship/cemetery or crematorium and the provision of all staff.
